A4 measurement test
A 210 × 297 mm page with horizontal and vertical 100 mm marks, a 1-inch square and a setup log.

Original one-page PDFs for checking measurements and keeping paper dimensions close at hand.
For the test sheets: download the matching paper version and print the PDF at 100% / Actual Size, one page per sheet. Printing this web page will not preserve the reference geometry.
A 210 × 297 mm page with horizontal and vertical 100 mm marks, a 1-inch square and a setup log.

The same reference marks on an 8.5 × 11 inch page, ready for Letter paper.

Where to place the ruler, what each result means and when a scale correction will not help.
Read the test-sheet guideA3, A4, A5, Letter and Half Letter dimensions, plus four conversions with zero and 5 mm margins.

The same dimension table and worked scale examples, arranged for US Letter paper.

The test PDFs contain known digital measurements. A printed result lets you compare your selected settings with a physical ruler. They cannot certify printer calibration, detect the cause of a mismatch or predict every part of the page.
The reference PDFs give calculated dimensions and scale limits. They are not page templates to trace. Read the assumptions beside the table before applying a percentage.
PDF page sizes and reference geometry are checked in the files, and the rendered layouts are inspected. These checks verify the digital documents; they are not claims of physical printer testing. All four resources were created for Printsize Lab.
For another conversion, use the print scale calculator. For front/back problems, follow the alignment guide.
